The Caribbean Centre for Development Administration (CARICAD) was retained to facilitate Strategic Planning sessions at a retreat held by the South Caribbean District of the Methodist Church in the Caribbean and the Americas. The retreat took place over a five day period from May 12 to 16, 2014. The Southern Caribbean District comprises churches located in five Caribbean states with ten circuits un-der its purview. The states that comprise the district are Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia and Barbados.

Five Key Result Areas were identified namely, Spiritual Growth and Development; Governance, Leader-ship and Management; Financial Sustainability; Development of Educational Institutions and Outreach and Service. The five areas underscore the commitment of the leadership of the South Caribbean District to a holistic approach to the engagement of the Church in executing its mandate not only in spiritual matters but in the societal as well. The Plan was finalized by the Church and action is being taken to achieve the goals.
