CARICAD and CLAD jointly staged the “Symposium on the Public Service as a Mechanism for Strengthening Public Administration: Building Bridges of Solidarity and Cooperation – CARICAD-CLAD Partnership” in Port Spain, Trinidad and Tobago on July 16 and 17, 2015. During the Joint Symposium rich exchanges of experience/views occurred and a highlight of the conference was the agreement that CARICAD should spearhead efforts to develop a Charter for Public Services of CARICOM Member States and Associate Member States. The symposium was held with significant support the CARICOM Spain Joint Fund for Technical Cooperation, Latin American Centre for Development Administration and the Government of Trinidad and Tobago.
