ANGUILLA – October 4th, 2024: The week of September 30th to October 4th this year marked the launch of an inception mission for a groundbreaking organisational structure review project aimed at identifying opportunities for improvement within the Anguilla Social Security Board.
The project was commissioned by the Board of Directors, headed by the Chairperson, Mrs. Jacqueline Bryan-Niles, and Chair of the HR Committee, Attorney-at-Law, Mr. Kerith Kentish. The Acting Director, Dr. Maglan Lewis Webster, will actively manage the coordination of the project. This project will involve extensive consultations, data collection, assessments, job analyses, design alternatives and stakeholder engagement to comprehensively evaluate the organisation’s current structure.
The project’s primary goal is to optimise efficiency, enhance productivity, and promote overall organisational effectiveness. The CARICAD team comprises Denise Escayg, CARICAD Consultant, and Rosemund Warrington, HR & ODE Specialist, CARICAD, with expertise in organisational design and development, strategic human resource management, and business process analysis. The team will lead the review process, drawing on their extensive knowledge and experience in the field across the Caribbean. Mr. Devon Rowe, Executive Director of CARICAD, will oversee this high-level initiative as Project Director.
During the launch week, the CARICAD team conducted a series of preliminary meetings with key internal and external stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of the organisation’s objectives, challenges, and existing processes. Notably, the CARICAD team met with the Honourable Dr. Ellis Webster, Premier of Anguilla, the Honourable Kenneth Hodge, Minister of Home Affairs, Deputy Governor Perin Bradley, and the Leader of the Opposition and Attorney-at -Law, the Honourable Cora Richardson-Hodge. Other key stakeholders included hotel, business, and fisher folk representatives. This initial phase will lay the groundwork for the subsequent stages of the project, including structural design, job profiling, and process reengineering. These critical components will build upon the valuable insights and perspectives gathered during the inception mission, ensuring that the proposed changes align with the ASSB’s needs.
Throughout the three-month project timeline, the team will collaborate closely with the Board of Directors, Management, and Staff to ensure that all proposed recommendations align with the organisation’s vision, mission, and strategic goals. The review process will culminate in a comprehensive report outlining actionable steps and potential areas for improvement to strengthen the organisation’s structure and operations at the ASSB.
Central to this initiative is a robust change management approach, which is a core element of CARICAD’s methodology. This approach will ensure that the ASSB is well-prepared to navigate the process of implementation and sustainability of proposed structural improvements, fostering a culture of adaptability and resilience among employees.
CARICAD’s commitment to this organisational structure review reflects its dedication to continuous growth, adaptability, and a forward-looking approach to meeting the evolving needs of its Member States. This project is expected to contribute significantly to the ASSB’s long-term success and sustainability.
