World Bank Project


CARICAD is the Implementing Agency for the World Bank funded project, OECS: Strengthening Institutional Capacity for Project Implementation.

 

The project has two main components:

 

  • Strengthening institutional capacity of the Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) in each of the OECS member states.
  • Improving the regulatory framework and strengthening the institutional capacity of public sector entities involved in procurement in each of the OECS member countries

 

The project coordinator, a CARICAD consultant, will act as the main focal point connecting consultants with the project beneficiaries in the member countries, and reviews and approves various action plans and reports before they are implemented and finalized respectively.

 

The project commenced in the first week of February, 2009 and is expected to be completed by the end of October 2009.
