CAMDAThe Caribbean Management Development Association (CaMDA) is a formal grouping of Private and Public Sector Professionals and institutions who are in the business of management development education and training. The association was launched in 1988 through the initiatives of the Caribbean Centre for Development Administration (CARICAD), the Commonwealth Secretariat, the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the International Management Development Network (INTERMAN). Today CaMDA is the synergy for management development in the Our Our mission is to promote the building of a Caribbean capacity for management development by supporting and strengthening institutions, organisations and individuals in the implementation of strategies and approaches to meet the unique challenges in the CaMDA was created primarily to provide opportunities for the sharing and exchange of ideas on management issues and also to enhance individual and institutional capacities, which impact on management development in the Our Objectives:1. Regional Co-operation: -To promote more effective communication, collaboration and co-operation among member institutions and management development practitioners to maximise available resources and their utilisation. 2. Integration of Management Development and National Plans:- To promote the importance of developing management capabilities in the region and to seek to have management development integrated into the overall national and regional development plans 3. Networking:- To promote among member institutions the exchange or personnel for professional development and the dissemination of information of management development activities at the national, regional and international level. 4. To assist private and public sector management development institutions/organisations in meeting their needs and requirement in the area of management training, management consultancy, management research and documentation. 5. National Associations:- To encourage the development of national management development associations and to assist them in conducting local initiatives. MembershipCaMDA membership comprises Management Development Institutions, Training units, Management Development Organisations and Caribbean professionals involved in management training and consulting in the English- speaking Associate membership can be accorded to regional and international bodies as deemed fit by the Association. The association may at any time invite distinguished individuals in the field of management development to be honorary members.
